Jackson’s News Stand was known for its newspapers, candy, and general goods. It became a place where everyone could stop by and connect over a shared love for news, sweets, and good conversation.
Born from a family legacy, Jackson’s Candy Stand is proud to carry on a tradition that goes back over more than 47 years, when Jackson’s News Stand—owned by Barb’s grandfather—was a beloved staple in Bellefontaine Ohio.

Neurodivergent Bag Candy Crew:
At Jackson’s Candy Stand, we believe in the power of inclusion, community, and empowering young people to develop valuable skills. Our Neurodivergent Crew is a special team made up of kids on the Autism Spectrum who work together to bag and label bulk candy into 1/4 pound bags for sale in our store.
Each bag they create marked with a special label proudly signifying it was prepared by one of our talented team members. Through this process, our crew learns essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and social interaction, all while building self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
Our program is designed to foster an environment of support and understanding, we believe that by providing opportunities for growth and learning, we are not only giving these incredible kids valuable job skills but also creating a sense of pride and belonging. At Jackson’s Candy Stand, we’re not just selling candy; we’re building a future of inclusion, one bag at a time.
